To be successful in the role you must be highly experienced project manager, who has preferably worked in the delivery of solutions to rail clients.
You must be fluent in speaking and writing Mandarin, and English and have a good command of Cantonese (spoken).

The position is based at our Melbourne office, with a 50/50 hybrid working arrangement. Some travel to Hong Kong will be required for the role.

The role:
We are seeking a Lead Project Manager (rail) on a 12 month contract to join our team, in Melbourne. The role is a Fly-in / Fly out role to a Hong Kong based client. It is expected that travel will be monthly for 3-4 days per visit. This role is for a February 2026 start.
Summary of Position
The Lead Project Manager will oversee the delivery of a new duty sheet application to meet the client requirements. Reporting to the Project Director and working with our project team and software partners, you’ll be managing a project for a Hong Kong based rail provider.
In this role, you will:
Oversee the delivery of the project to ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, meeting user requirements and comply with all established policies, standards and procedures of the client.
Responsible for planning and negotiating with project resources to prioritise tasks, meet project schedule, and minimise any project variances.
Facilitate business process analysis, requirement analysis, design workshops, prototype sessions with users (to meet project tasks and milestones).
Supervise project coordinator and other project resources and software suppliers to deliver the project.
Responsible for the hand off of maintenance and support services.
We are looking for someone who has:
Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
Solid experience in using project methodology and relevant certified project management qualifications.
5+ years as a Project Manager with relevant technical skills and experience on:
a) Railway operations; and b) Computing hardware or software.
Good people management skills are essential.
Experience managing technical teams, including coordinating requirement analysis, solution design, software configuration, testing, data conversion, debugging and documentation
Self-motivated with good communication, interpersonal, liaising and supervisory skills
Must Have: Fluent in speaking Cantonese, Mandarin, and English. Good command of English and Chinese writing
Bonus: Knowledge in Train Crew Duty Sheet (rosters) and railway operation business domain will be an added advantage.
